SEED have impacted over 1 000 entrepreneurs and founded two social enterprises to stimulate local economic growth, by tapping into the lucrative sectors in the region. Our approach to economic development is collaborative and experience has led to the conclusion that a narrow, project-based developmental approach fails to stimulate sustainable local economic growth, entrepreneurialism, and subsequently employment creation. SEED’s work is supported by a network of partners that form part of the SEED Ecosystem. The ecosystem is an integrated development initiative where multiple partners cooperate on delivering strategic economic development projects.
